Proceeds benefit Uplifting Athletes, Inc.
This fall, touchdowns are worth more than 6 points. The Raiders are asking friends, family and fans to pledge for every touchdown they score to benefit their Chapter of Uplifting Athletes.
The Colgate Chapter of Uplifting Athletes raises money and awareness for Ependymoma, a rare cancer of the brain and spinal cord.
Several years ago, former offensive line coach, Casey Vogt, was diagnosed with Ependymoma of the spine. Since then, his cancer has gone into remission, and he has fully returned to coaching.
The Raiders have also formed a close relationship with Colin Hayward, an Ithaca native who was diagnosed with Ependymoma when he was just 2 years old. Now 7, Colin is cancer free.
