Our founding team first banded together in a college locker room, in the face of adversity: cancer.
Scott Shirley (Pledge It CEO) and Dave Costlow (Pledge It COO) met as college football teammates. During this time, Scott’s father lost his battle to renal cell carcinoma, a rare cancer.
In response to this tragedy, Scott and his teammates started Lift for Life, a fundraiser that empowers athletes to raise money for rare diseases. As the impact of Lift for Life spread, more athletes wanted to raise money for causes they were passionate about. Pledge It was created to solve those challenges.
Today, Pledge It has evolved into a full-suite fundraising platform supporting nonprofits nationwide. Our services have grown to meet the needs of nonprofits, but our beginnings haven't been forgotten.
